Online Music Lessons Worldwide: Private Lessons from Evergreen Studios

Not every family lives near one of our teachers. Military families who move often, students studying abroad, and families in small towns without a music teacher nearby all face the same problem. Evergreen Studios offers live, one-on-one online lessons with the same EvergreenCertified teachers who teach in homes across the Wilmington, NC area. Lessons are available anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
How online lessons work
Each lesson is a live video call with your teacher at a set time each week. The student sits at their own instrument with a laptop, tablet, or phone positioned so the teacher can see hands and posture. The teacher demonstrates, listens, and gives feedback in real time, just as they would in person. Between lessons, the teacher can share sheet music and practice notes digitally. Lessons are 45 minutes, once a week, at a time that works across time zones. Students in Europe or Asia often take lessons in their evening, which is morning in North Carolina.

Piano, guitar, and voice translate especially well to video. String and drum students do well online once they have the basics down.
Setting up for a good online lesson
A few simple steps make online lessons work well:
Place the camera so the teacher can see the hands and the instrument
Use headphones or earbuds to cut echo
Sit near the router or use a wired connection if video stutters
Have the music, a pencil, and a metronome ready before the call
Keep the same lesson time each week so it becomes a habit
Your teacher will help you find the right camera angle in the first lesson.
The same teacher, wherever you are
Online students get the same commitment as in-home students. Every teacher completes the EvergreenCertified process. That includes a background check, abuse-prevention training, and personal vetting by our team. Your child works with the same teacher every week, so trust and progress build over time. Families who later move to the Wilmington area can switch to in-home lessons. Military families who leave the area can keep the same teacher online.
