In-Home Music Lessons in Wrightsville Beach & Carolina Beach, NC
Updated: Sep 30
Beach towns are full of music, and plenty of families want lessons without the drive inland. Evergreen Studios offers private, in-home music lessons in Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach.
Instruments we teach
Lessons for every age
We teach children, teens, and adults. Many adults near the beach finally take up the guitar or piano they always meant to learn, and in-home lessons make that easy to keep up.
Teachers you can trust
Every instructor is EvergreenCertified. Each one is background-checked, trained in abuse prevention, and personally vetted before teaching in a family's home.
Students keep the same teacher every week, which is how real progress happens.
Lessons by instrument at the beach
Beach families can read the pages for the instruments most often requested here:
Voice lessons for singers of all ages
Drum lessons, starting with a practice pad
Violin, viola, and fiddle for the youngest beginners
Living on the coast with an instrument
Salt air and humidity are hard on instruments. Acoustic pianos near the ocean need tuning about twice a year and should sit away from open windows and direct sun. Guitars and violins swell and shift in humid rooms, so a case with a humidity pack helps. A digital piano with 88 weighted keys is a practical choice for many island homes because it never goes out of tune. Our guide to keyboards versus pianos for beginners covers what to look for. Your teacher will show you simple storage habits at the first lesson.
Wrightsville Beach families plan around the drawbridge, and Carolina Beach families plan around Snow's Cut. When the teacher comes to your home, neither bridge matters. Lessons happen at the same time each week, on the student's own instrument. Summer visitors and busy sports seasons are easier to manage, and students who spend weekends on the water still keep a steady weekly lesson. Adults who finally have time to learn can read about adult beginner piano and adult beginner guitar lessons.
